Apsara is a wholesale company trading in fine quality coloured gems since 1987. We are based in Hatton Garden, London.

We sell all kinds of coloured gems specialising in rubies and sapphires. We also sell other coloured gems including tourmalines, garnets, spinels, zircons, opals plus many others.

We sell both treated and untreated gems. For many decades, most rubies and sapphires on the market have undergone heat treatment. Some heat treatments also involve adding fillers or dyes. We do not sell filled or dyed gems. Some gems like tanzanite and zircons are routinely heat-treated to produce the colours you see today.

Apsara company policy is full disclosure of any treatment that may have been applied to a gem. We inspect each gem for any evidence of treatment and disclose accordingly. We are happy to submit gems to be tested in an independent laboratory for a full gemmological report.

Some of our stones have previously been tested and come with reports. Those presently without a report can be tested by an independent lab as required.

We do not sell synthetic, man-made gems. We do not sell imitation gems. All our gems are natural gems produced by nature.

All our gems are sourced through a carefully selected, long-established network of suppliers. We conduct all business in accordance to the strict rules and regulations of the London Diamond Bourse and National Association of Jewellers, of which we are proud full members. Yes, we have other gems available, so if you can't find what you are looking for, get in touch. We do try to update our site as regularly as possible!

Appointments are available in London and can be booked from Tuesday to Friday between 11am to 3pm. Appointments are subject to availability. Please contact us for full details.

This is a polite no! We do not buy any stones here in London. We have our own trusted network of suppliers, with whom we have been doing business with for many years.

Furthermore, we receive dozens of messages daily from people offering goods or services. We do not respond to these messages. Please don't be offended, but persistent salespeople will always be blocked.

We offer trade accounts to bona fide members of the gem and jewellery trade who are based in the UK. Overseas accounts are not available. You will be required to give two genuine trade references.
